Looking at yourself and asking questions.
Wondering what drives “you”. Wondering what indeed “you” is in the first place.
It is not something that anyone can or should tell you to do. It is something that you do because the drive comes from inside yourself.
We all have deep wells of wisdom inside us, but all too often the day-to-day world leaves it just out of reach.
Years can pass with only the slightest of hints that it is there at all. If even that.
A practice of meditation and self-inquiry can turn this around and bring out that innate wisdom, that connection with Source.
It is not a journey for the timid. The day-to-day world is resplendent with distraction and superficial satisfaction. One mechanism or another to make it to the day’s end without feeling anything much at all. Other than the same safe experiences that have filled every other day.
And not without reason. There are indeed monsters in the deep. But they are self-created. Their teeth are not as sharp as they may appear. And they will not leave without being faced. So why wait?
